Where You’ll Work
You’ll be based at the PPC Cement site in Laezonia, Pretoria, Gauteng. Learners will also have opportunities to train at the PPC Technical Skills Centre in Mahikeng when needed.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

During this learnership, you’ll be involved in both practical and theoretical engineering training. Your key tasks will include:

• Theoretical Training: Learn important engineering concepts and theories.
• Hands-On Experience: Participate in practical engineering work at the Laezonia site.
• Technical Skills Development: Build skills that prepare you for an engineering career.
• Teamwork: Work with other learners and engineering professionals to complete tasks.
• Additional Duties: Be prepared to assist with extra responsibilities as needed.

What You Need to Qualify (Skills & Requirements)

To be eligible for this role, you’ll need to meet the following minimum requirements:

Education Requirements:

• For Boilermakers:
  • Grade 12 with pure Mathematics & Science at 50% or
  • N2 with the following subjects:
    • Platers Trade Theory
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Platers Structural Steel Drawing
• For Electrical Learners:
  • N3 with the following subjects:
    • Electrical Trade Theory
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Industrial Electronics

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer literacy
• Must reside in Diepsloot or Olievenhoutbosch
• Willingness to work overtime when required
