Job Summary:
As a Product Data Engineer II – GT, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of new applications and systems to meet the business requirements of the product line environment. You will analyze business or system requirements and data to enhance understanding of the product line environment, and participate in and provide input to the Architect during the compilation of solution design documentation for new and existing products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of new applications and systems to meet business requirements
- Analyze business or system requirements and data to enhance understanding of the product line environment
- Participate in and provide input to the Architect during the compilation of solution design documentation for new and existing products and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and guides to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and escalate to senior team members as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Data Analysis (minimum)
- Relevant degree in Data Engineering (ideal or preferred)
- Certification in Data Warehousing (ideal or preferred)
- At least 4 years’ proven experience within management information systems (MIS) | data warehousing | data transformation/ systems analysis together with a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (minimum)
- OR at least 4-6 years’ proven experience within management information systems / system analysis
- Proven experience in:
- Relational data warehouse e.g. SQL server, Oracle etc., and tools that enable ETL and orchestration
- Testing methodologies
- Ideal:
- Proven experience in cloud environment
- Experience working in an AWS environment as well as with AWS Technologies
- Data analysis
- Orchestration technologies
