Job Summary
As a Business Banker, you will provide a business centre-based sales and service function that will retain and grow a portfolio of business clients by identifying and implementing value-added and specialized business banking financial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement value-added and specialized business banking financial products that cater to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business clients to increase portfolio growth and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and motivate credit applications, ensuring accurate information and compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
- Conduct financial analysis to understand client financial positions and create tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional customer service and drive business growth.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and grow the business.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of banking experience, preferably in Business Banking.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of business customers with a focus on service and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of CRM principles and techniques, financial statements, balance sheets, and financial ratios.
- Understanding of standardized business banking transactional products and other core products relevant to small enterprises.
- Familiarity with business banking product offerings, collateral, and balance sheets.
- Basic knowledge of legislation and regulations related to the banking environment.
- Knowledge of financial statements and basic accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ideal Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in Business Banking, preparing and motivating credit applications.
- Knowledge of commercial lending laws and regulations.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong commercial thinking and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including Saturdays and Public Holidays.
