merSETA Invites Suitably Qualified Applicants to Apply for Its 24‑Month Internship Programme. The Closing Date for Applications Is 20 April 2026.

merSETA is looking for fresh South African graduates who want real‑world experience. This 24‑month internship runs in the head office and in regional offices across the country. It gives you a chance to learn on the job, earn a monthly stipend, and build skills that employers value.


Who Can Apply

  • South African citizens aged 18 to 35 who have no previous work experience.
  • You must not have taken part in another internship before, either now or in the past.

Stipend Details

Your education level decides how much you will receive each month:

Qualification Level Monthly Stipend
3‑Year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) R 10 000
Bachelor’s or BTech Degree (NQF Level 7) R 11 000
Honours or Post‑graduate (NQF Level 8 or higher) R 12 000

The stipend is paid regularly and helps cover living costs while you train.
