Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Attendant, you will:
- Perform general warehouse duties, focusing on loading and offloading palletised cement and bulk materials.
- Ensure proper stock stacking in the yard and follow safe pallet stacking procedures.
- Load transporter vehicles with the correct weight distribution in compliance with Traffic Road Regulations.
- Report any breakages or missing bags during operations.
- Verify that the correct product type, packaging, and quantity is loaded.
- Assist with re-bagging and repacking cement as per procedures.
- Operate a forklift to move palletised products efficiently.
- Maintain Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you need:
- A Grade 12/Amended Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV Level 4/Technical Matric – N3 with 4 technical subjects and 2 official languages).
- A valid forklift driver’s license.
- At least 1 year of experience in a related industry, preferably in bulk handling and forklift operation.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in forklift operation and bulk handling equipment.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
- Familiarity with depot safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to ensure efficient loading and stacking of materials.
