Job Summary
As a Mixer Driver, your role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles, delivering concrete to industrial and residential areas. You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and collaborate effectively with management, customers, and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Licenses:
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver License.
- Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PrDP).
- Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to drive Straight, Auto/Semi-Auto, and Split Gearbox vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
- High integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring cleanliness inside and outside the vehicle.
- Check grease nipples and secure extension chutes.
- Follow manufacturer specifications for maintenance and operation.
- Concrete Delivery:
- Plan routes and ensure efficient delivery of concrete to industrial and residential areas.
- Handle delivery documentation correctly and collect necessary copies.
- Operate heavy vehicle auxiliary equipment and pour concrete safely.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow traffic rules, workplace safety policies, and environmental procedures.
- Report hazards and adhere to personal protective equipment requirements.
- Team Collaboration:
- Maintain good relationships with management, peers, and customers.
- Portray a positive and professional attitude at all times.
