What You’ll Be Doing
Customer Service
- Welcome every shopper with a friendly smile and help them find what they need.
- Share product details, suggest items that go well together, and encourage customers to add extra pieces to their basket.
- Know how to use all payment options, such as PAYFLEX, PJN and Happy Pay.
- Dress neatly, follow the uniform rules and keep a professional look that matches the GALXBOY image.
Visual Merchandising
- Learn the features of each product – material, care tags, price – so you can talk confidently with shoppers.
- Keep the floor tidy: steam, tag, price, hang, fold and restock items to make the most of the space.
- Follow the store’s visual‑merchandising guidelines to create an inviting shopping environment.
Stock Control
- Keep the back‑room organized and clean; items should be stored in the right sections for quick access.
- Report stock levels, best‑sellers, and any out‑of‑stock alerts to the manager so ordering stays on track.
Daily Operations & Housekeeping
- Punch in and out on time, follow the attendance schedule and let the team know if you’ll be late.
- Process sales accurately on the POS system, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods without errors.
Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For
- Completed Grade 12 (or equivalent).
- Basic computer skills – comfortable using a POS terminal and email.
- Any extra schooling or certifications are a plus.
- 1–2 years of retail experience, preferably in a clothing store.
- Good understanding of everyday retail practices (stocking, displays, checkout).
- A natural ability to talk to customers, listen to their needs and provide helpful advice.
