What to Expect in the Program
In this one-year program, you’ll dive into the exciting world of currency trading and gain practical experience across various Citi businesses. Here’s what your role as a Markets graduate will look like:
Market Analysis:
You’ll research and analyze currency markets, focusing on factors like economic indicators, geopolitical events, and central bank policies. Staying updated on global news and market trends will be key.
Trade Execution:
Assist the sales team in executing trades using trading platforms. You’ll enter orders, monitor trade execution, and ensure compliance with regulations and risk management guidelines.
Risk Management:
Learn to assess and manage different types of risk, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. Implement risk management strategies like stop-loss orders and hedging techniques.
Client Interaction:
Depending on your role, you may interact directly with clients, providing market insights, trade recommendations, and assistance with their FX transactions. Strong communication skills are crucial.
Strategy Development:
Contribute to the development and refinement of trading strategies by back testing ideas, analyzing historical data, and collaborating with senior traders and researchers to identify profitable opportunities.
Compliance and Regulations:
Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, understanding market conduct, client suitability, and anti-money laundering (AML) policies.

What We’re Looking For
To be a great fit for this program, you should have:
- An undergraduate degree with a GPA of 65% or above, or a Master’s degree in any discipline.
- A maximum of 1 year of work experience (not required).
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- A passion for the financial industry and a desire to learn and grow.
