We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as an Account Analyst in East London. If you’re passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

As an Account Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day running and maintenance of portfolios. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a central office-bound contact point for customer service queries and requests
  • Offering administration assistance to clients
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities and monitoring loan facilities in the portfolio on a daily basis
  • Adding value to clients through proactive engagement and relationship-building

Requirements:

  • Minimum:
    • At least 5 years of experience in the Business Banking environment, with a minimum of 1 year spent in a similar role
    • Experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications is essential
  • Qualifications:
    • Diploma in Commerce or Banking
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Commerce (Ideal or Preferred)
  • Knowledge:
    • Minimum:
      • Features, benefits, and value propositions of respective company product/service offerings
      • General banking practices and procedures
      • Understanding of how Business Banking operates, as well as business risks, industry risks, and financial requirements
      • Credit principles and practices, including credit application, securities, and balance sheet requirements
      • The Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
      • Administration processes and procedures pertaining to Business Banking transactions
      • Client relationship management and service principles
    • Ideal:
      • Competitor product offerings/channels/operational and marketing tactics
      • Capitec/Business Bank systems and processes
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate tasks effectively
