What You’ll Do:
As a Product Data Engineer I – West, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and developing new applications and systems to meet the business requirements of our product line environment. You’ll analyze business or system requirements and data to enhance your understanding of the product line environment and participate in the compilation of solution design documentation for new and existing products and systems.
Requirements:
Education
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Data Analysis (minimum)
- A relevant degree in Data Engineering (ideal)
- Certification in Data Warehousing (ideal)
Experience
- At least 2 years’ proven experience within management information systems (MIS), data warehousing, data transformation, together with a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (minimum)
- OR
- At least 2-4 years’ proven experience within management information systems, data warehousing, data transformation
- Proven experience in:
- Relational data warehouse e.g. SQL Server, Oracle etc., and tools that enable ETL and orchestration (minimum)
- Cloud Environment (ideal)
- Experience working in an AWS environment as well as with AWS Technologies (ideal)
Knowledge
- IT systems development processes (SDLC) (minimum)
- ETL processes (minimum)
- Rational database system and cloud data warehousing (minimum)
- Dimensional modelling (minimum)
- Standards and governance (minimum)
- Testing practices (minimum)
- Data analysis and design (ideal)
- Data architecture (technical design and implementation processes) (ideal)
- DPLC (ideal)
