Capitec Bank is excited to invite suitably qualified individuals to apply for the Sandton Foreign Exchange Operations Vetting Officer (GT) position.

So, what does this role entail?

As a Foreign Exchange Operations Vetting Officer, you will play a critical role in examining and verifying all Foreign Exchange payments to ensure they comply with Exchange Control regulations and rulings. Your main goal will be to identify any discrepancies or irregularities and resolve them efficiently.

What are the requirements for this role?

• 3-4 years of experience in Foreign Exchange, with exposure to Exchange Control Rulings
• Client service standards and practices
• Knowledge of Exchange Control regulations, foreign exchange settlements, SWIFT standards, and cut-off times
• Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• Ideal or preferred: Relevant tertiary qualification
• Knowledge:
  • Payment documentation such as invoices, transport documentation, and customs documentation
  • Accounting and reconciliation concepts
  • The SARB Import Verification System (IVS) and Unique Consignment Reference (UCR) and Movement Reference number (MRN) references
  • Balance of Payments (BoP) categories
  • Capitec AML, FIC, and suspicious transaction monitoring and reporting policies (ideal)
