What You’ll Do:
As a Business Centre Manager, you will be responsible for driving a proactive sales and service culture that will retain and grow the Business Centre client base. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Business Centre to drive sales and service growth
- Planning and implementing marketing, sales, and support services strategies for the Business Centre
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities to drive growth and profitability
- Managing a team of Business Centre staff to achieve sales and service targets
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 5 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in the Business Banking environment
- 3 years of managerial experience
- Significant experience in preparing and motivating credit applications
- Budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and sales management experience
- Accountability for managing a profitable cost centre
Qualifications:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance (minimum)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance (ideal or preferred)
Knowledge:
- Business knowledge and acumen
- Understanding of interdependencies between industry knowledge, business and financial risks, Business banking product knowledge, pricing, and taxation
- People management principles and practices
- Financial Modelling; activity-based costing, financial analysis, complex cash flow cycles, and business economics
- Managing Local Market (MLM) sales principles and practices
- General banking practices and procedures
- Knowledge of competitor product offerings, channels, operational, and marketing tactics
- Credit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securities, and legal entities
- Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
- General understanding of how Business Banking operates, as well as understanding the business risks, industry risks, and financial requirements pertaining to the business market
Skills:
- Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Negotiation skills
- Planning, organizing, and coordination skills
Conditions of Employment:
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle is required
