Key Responsibilities

As a Code 10 Driver, you’ll have a range of important duties, including:

Customer Service: Interact politely and professionally with customers at delivery points.
Daily Trip Sheets: Track departure/arrival times, kilometers driven, and report your daily movements.
Vehicle Inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle meets roadworthy standards.
Report Vehicle Defects: Report any issues with the vehicle to your Supervisor and complete repair request forms.
Team Collaboration: Ensure truck assistants are with the truck at all times during deliveries.
Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes to deliver goods on time.

Stock & Documentation: Ensure stock is loaded and transported with the correct paperwork and logbook records.
Quality Checks: Ensure all stock is delivered in excellent condition.
Report Submission: Submit weekly evaluation reports to your Supervisor.
Communication: Report delays or issues at branches to your Supervisor.
Perpetual Stock Takes: Assist with stock counts when required.
Other Duties: Be ready to perform any work-related tasks assigned by your Supervisor.

What Are the Requirements?

To be considered for this position, you’ll need to meet the following minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
  • Candidates without a matric certificate will be considered if they have 3 years of driving experience.

Experience & Licenses:

  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (Higher codes will be advantageous).
