Bidvest Facilities Management is looking for a fresh Information Technology (IT) graduate to join the team in Centurion, Gauteng. This internship is perfect for anyone who has just finished a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar subject and wants to get real‑world experience. You will learn how a big company runs its computer networks, fixes technical problems, and builds simple software. If you love tech, enjoy solving problems, and want to start a career in IT, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an IT Graduate you will be the first point of contact when staff members have computer or phone problems. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Answering help‑desk calls, emails and chat messages.
  • Finding out what’s wrong with a PC, laptop, printer or software and fixing it quickly.
  • Helping set up new computers, servers, routers and other network gear.
  • Working with other teams on IT projects such as installing new applications or upgrading systems.
  • Writing short guides and step‑by‑step notes so others can solve similar problems later.
  • Taking part in short training sessions to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Keeping a tidy record of each support request and how it was solved.

These duties will give you a solid foundation in technical support, network basics, and how large organisations keep their IT running smoothly.

What We Need from You

  • A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Some hands‑on experience from school projects, a previous internship, or part‑time work.
  • Good skills at spotting and fixing hardware (e.g., printers, monitors) and software issues.
  • Basic knowledge of how computers talk to each other (networking) and common operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Strong written and spoken English – you must be able to explain tech stuff to people who are not tech‑savvy.
  • A curious mind and a “can‑do” attitude – you should like learning new things and trying out fresh ideas.
  • Ability to work well in a busy team where things change fast.

Nice to have (but not required):

  • A little programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Experience using ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.

If you tick most of these boxes, you are the kind of candidate we want to hear from.

Why This Internship Is a Great Step Forward

  • Real work, real impact: You will help keep the company’s computers and networks running, which means your work directly supports everyday business.
  • Learn from pros: Senior IT staff will guide you, answer questions, and share tips that you won’t find in textbooks.
  • Build a professional network: Working with different departments gives you contacts across the whole organisation.
  • Boost your résumé: Hands‑on experience in a large‑scale environment looks great to future employers.
