Your Role as a Permanent Store Assistant
As a Permanent Store Assistant, you will play an essential part in achieving sales targets, providing outstanding customer service, and contributing to the store’s overall success. You’ll assist with store operations while supporting and motivating your team to maintain Spitz’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll be doing as part of the Spitz team:
1. Cash Control
- Perform daily cash desk duties with precision to avoid cash variances.
- Handle banking, manual transactions, and cash reconciliation.
2. Stock Management
- Follow stock control procedures, manage customer orders, and organize the storeroom.
- Conduct weekly stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
3. Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service to every customer.
- Build long-lasting relationships through personalized assistance and expert product knowledge.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, you’ll need:
- A Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- At least 3 years of retail experience, preferably in apparel and footwear.
- Shift management experience is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of retail administration, stock, and cash management.
- Exceptional product knowledge and selling skills.
- Ability to follow policies related to the cash desk, stockroom, and other operational areas.
- Solid numerical skills to support efficient store operations.
