🛡️ Job Overview: Your Role as a Security Guard

As a Security Guard at SBV, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. This includes escorting visitors, enforcing compliance with company policies, and conducting thorough searches of employees and visitors to protect company assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Visitor Escorting and Access Control
   • Ensure all visitors are authorized before entering the premises.
   • Lock visitors’ cell phones and weapons in designated safes.
   • Issue and collect access permits for visitors.
   • Escort visitors to their destination or arrange for them to be collected.
   • Identify visitors and ensure compliance with after-hours policies.
   • Supervise suppliers and service providers, ensuring they leave the premises after completing their tasks.
2. Conducting Searches
   • Perform searches ethically, following company policies and procedures.
   • Prevent unauthorized removal of company assets by searching employees, visitors, and items such as parcels, bags, and tool cases.
   • Conduct ad-hoc searches as requested by management.
   • Report any suspicious findings immediately to the Security Compliance Officer.
3. Record Keeping and Documentation
   • Maintain proper documentation for the removal of company property.
   • Keep updated records of company assets, including serial numbers.
   • Ensure visitor slips are filled out accurately on both entry and exit.

📝 Requirements: Are You Eligible?

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following:

Basic Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate.
• No criminal record.
• Clean credit history.
• Must not have participated in a YES (Youth Employment Service) program previously.
• Must be unemployed (affidavit required).
• Age range: 25–30 years old.

Special Requirements

• PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) certification in E, D, or C is an advantage.
• Firearm competency certification is also advantageous.
