Rapid Blue Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its 2026 Internship Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2026.
Rapid Blue is now accepting applications for the Rapid Blue Internship Programme 2026. This is a full‑year, MICT‑accredited skills‑development chance that covers Television Production, Content Development, Post‑Production and many other areas of media.
Over the past few years Rapid Blue has helped create a long list of popular shows on TV and streaming platforms. Some of the titles you might recognise are Ebuka Turns Up Africa, LOL: Last One Laughing, Homegrown Tastes South Africa, Family Feud, Love Island UK, Celebrity Game Night, Dancing With the Stars, Project Runway, SA’s Got Talent, Come Dine With Me and East Africa’s Got Talent.
Our home‑grown talk show Mose Waka earned a lot of praise from critics, and our drama Is’thunzi was also celebrated. The lead actress, Thuso Mbedu, received two iEmmy nominations for Best Actress because of her work on that series.
Rapid Blue is proud of the part it has played in training some of the biggest names in the South African media world. We love to work with fresh, exciting talent and give them the space to grow.
What you’ll do as an intern
- Learn the basics of production – from setting up cameras to handling budgets.
- Help design new content ideas – sit in on brainstorming sessions and see how a show goes from a concept to the screen.
- Assist in post‑production – edit video, add graphics and make sure the final product looks professional.
- Attend workshops and talks – senior staff and guest experts will run regular sessions on everything from scriptwriting to digital distribution.
You will be placed in a full‑time, year‑long role that gives you real‑world experience on high‑quality productions. Every intern is enrolled in a MICT‑SETA accredited Skills Development Programme, giving you a recognized certification when you finish.
Why choose this internship?
- Hands‑on experience – work on shows that are watched by millions.
- Career‑building network – meet industry leaders, producers and directors who can help you after the internship.
- Paid learning – the programme includes a stipend that covers basic living costs while you train.
- Future opportunities – top performers are often offered permanent positions once the internship ends.
