MCE Electric is a leading company in the electrical and electronic field, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Our Inventory and Stock Control team keeps the warehouse running smoothly every day. We need a reliable person who likes to keep things tidy, checks details carefully and isn’t afraid of a bit of physical work.
What the Stock Handler does
The Stock Handler is the backbone of the warehouse. You will make sure that every item that arrives or leaves the site is in the right place and in good condition. Your daily tasks will include:
- Unload trucks and take items out of containers.
- Put each product into the correct bin, shelf or mezzanine level.
- Move bulk stock when the warehouse needs more space.
- Spot and fix misplaced items – send them back to the right spot.
- Help with regular stock‑taking and cycle counts.
- Attach barcode stickers to shelves or products when asked.
- Keep the aisles, shelves and mezzanine clean and organized.
- Rotate stock using FIFO (first‑in‑first‑out) so nothing expires or becomes useless.
- Work with Pickers to find missing items and speed up order fulfilment.
- Report any differences, damaged goods or defects to the Stock Controller or Supervisor.
- Load courier trucks and assist drivers with preparing deliveries.
- Answer questions about where items are stored and how many are available.
- Support other warehouse functions such as picking, packing and moving stock between branches.
All of these duties help the company deliver the right product to the right customer, on time.
What we are looking for

| Strong communication skills – you can speak clearly with supervisors and teammates | Experience with inventory procedures |
| Reliable, responsible and able to follow written procedures | Experience in a fast‑paced environment |
| Team player – you enjoy helping others and sharing the workload |
You must be physically fit enough to lift, carry and push stock throughout a normal workday. Punctuality and a willingness to learn are just as important as any technical skill.
