Main Tasks

1. Build and Run the Social Media Plan

  • Design a clear, step‑by‑step plan for all social channels.
  • Make sure the plan fits with Ackermans’ overall marketing and sales goals.
  • Keep the schedule up‑to‑date so promos appear at the right time.

2. Create and Share Content

  • Work with the ATL (above‑the‑line), PR and buying teams to line up the big ideas.
  • Write short captions, pick images, and guide video shoots that fit each platform.
  • Oversee outside agencies and ensure posts go live on schedule.

3. Lead the Team

  • Handle the budget for social projects.
  • Keep stakeholders (other departments, senior managers) informed.
  • Coach team members, plan their workload, and plan for future talent needs.

4. Check Results and Make Improvements

  • Use tools like Brandwatch, Salesforce and Google Analytics to see how posts perform.
  • Work with the Customer Insights team to dig deeper into who our audience is.
  • Turn data into simple action points for the next campaign.

5. Stay on Top of Trends

  • Follow new features, tools and best practices on each social platform.
  • Put together a short presentation every quarter with fresh ideas for the brand.

What Experience Is Needed

Must‑have

  • At least 3 years running social media strategy for a brand.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a marketing team.
  • Experience working with different business areas (e.g., sales, product, customer service).
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other key platforms.
  • A track record of launching successful social campaigns.
  • Ability to read and explain social analytics (Brandwatch, Salesforce).
  • Hands‑on experience with influencer collaborations.

Nice to Have

  • Background in clothing retail or fashion.

  • How each platform’s algorithm decides what users see.
  • Best practices for emerging channels like YouTube Shorts or Pinterest.

Education Requirements
