Capitec Bank is on the lookout for a dynamic and results-driven Team Leader – Accounts Payable West to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. About the Role

As a Team Leader – Accounts Payable West, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of Accounts Payable clerks to optimize the capacity, efficiency, and effectiveness of creditor payments and the Financial Accounting department. You’ll be a key member of the team, collaborating with other departments to drive results and increase productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 4-12 staff members to achieve exceptional performance and efficiency
• Oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improveAccounts Payable operations
• Collaborate with other departments to drive business growth and development
• Analyze and resolve problems and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare and present business reports to management

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational in Grade 12 National Certificate
• At least one year’s experience of leading or supervising a small team of people (4-12 people)
• Practical experience of SAP finance management system
• Experience of holding responsibility for an accounts payable function and associated practices and procedures
• Business report writing skills
• Experience gained in a banking or retail environment

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Finance
• Knowledge of Accounting software, SAP
• Understanding of the banking environment is advantageous

Certifications and Skills:

• People management principles and practices
• Leadership principles
• Business communication
• Microsoft Office suite of tools
