Discovery Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its Learnership Programme – Long Term Insurance (GAU) Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 30 April 2026.
Discovery is looking for energetic young people who want to start a career in the financial‑services world. This Learnership gives you a chance to earn a nationally recognised qualification while you work in a real office environment.
What the Learnership is about
The program leads to the FETC: Long‑Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification. You will study the required subjects and at the same time get hands‑on experience in a call‑centre that deals with medical‑aid clients, claims, new business and health‑benefit administration.
Typical tasks you might do
- Answer phone calls from medical‑aid members.
- Help customers with claims and new policies.
- Process health‑benefit paperwork.

School requirements
You must have finished Grade 12 and meet the minimum marks below:
- Mathematics: Level 4 (50 %) or higher
- English: Level 4 (50 %) or higher
- Mathematics Literacy: Level 5 (60 %) or higher
- Second language: Level 4 (50 %) or higher
Having started, but not yet finished, a tertiary qualification is a plus but not required.
Extra conditions you need to meet
- You cannot be studying full‑time after Matric or be employed in a regular job.
- You must not have completed any other Learnership before.
- Age must be between 18 and 25 years.
- You need good written and spoken English.
- Basic computer knowledge – especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook – is required.
