Clicks Group is looking for two enthusiastic Pharmacist Assistants to join the QPB Africa City store in Johannesburg. This is a permanent job where you will help give safe and high‑quality medicine care to customers. What You’ll Do Every Day
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and answer their health questions within the limits of the role.
- Help the pharmacist mix, label, and check medicines so every prescription is correct.
- Prepare special medicines (compounding) according to pharmacy rules.
- Keep the pharmacy tidy, well‑stocked, and looking neat on the shelves.
- Receive new stock, store it properly, and move older items forward to avoid waste.
- Check expiry dates daily and rotate products so nothing goes bad.
- Use the computer system to record sales, update stock levels, and file paperwork.
- Follow all South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) rules and Clicks Group’s standard procedures.
- Support the pharmacy team with any extra tasks the manager assigns, such as organising health‑aisle displays or helping with over‑the‑counter (OTC) product queries.
What You Need to Bring
- Completed Grade 12, including Mathematics.
- A valid SAPC registration as a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post‑Basic, or Learner‑Basic).
- Good knowledge of common OTC medicines and health‑aisle items.
- Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Strong eye for detail; you must make sure each dose and label is right.
- Clear communication skills – you’ll talk to customers and colleagues every day.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions accurately.
- Basic computer skills – you should be comfortable with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software.
- Good math skills for calculating dosages and checking prices.
- A professional attitude that values honesty, safety, and compliance.
