About the Job:

We’re on the lookout for energetic, self-motivated individuals who share our passion for service in the banking industry. As a Service Consultant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing excellent client service, fulfilling and exceeding their needs. You will use our Global One product offering to support our clients in banking better and living better.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Identify and recommend relevant banking products and services to clients to meet their financial needs
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and providing personalized solutions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of banking services
  • Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of our products and services, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
    • 3 to 6 months previous client service experience within a retail/financial/banking environment
  • Ideal Qualifications:
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or Similar
    • Certification in Finance or Banking
    • More than 1 year’s client service experience within a retail/financial/banking environment
    • Demonstrated track record of engaging in a sales and client-facing environment

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communications, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
  • Knowledge and understanding of:
    • Basic calculations
    • Retail/consumer service environment
    • Capitec Bank Products
    • Internal business processes and procedures
    • Organisational Policies, including (but not limited to) the Branch Credit Granting Policy principles (BCGP)

Conditions of Employment:

  • Clear criminal and credit record
  • Must have fingerprints which are detectable/recognizable on Capitec Bank’s internal electronic banking system
