Job Summary:

We’re looking for a seasoned software testing professional to lead our testing team and drive testing excellence within the product line. As a Lead Software Testing, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end testing process, optimizing testing processes through central and digital Test Automation practices, and ensuring the continuity of the testing capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end testing process to ensure quality and reliability of our software products
• Optimize testing processes through central and digital Test Automation practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Craft testing career paths and development paths for Testers to ensure their growth and development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
• Develop and maintain testing strategies, plans, and scripts to ensure thorough testing of our software products
• Identify and report testing defects and issues to the development team for prompt resolution
• Conduct testing metrics analysis to measure testing efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Information Technology or Software Testing
• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• At least 4-5 years’ solid work experience in QA testing (identifying Test Conditions, and creating Test Plans and Test Cases / Scripts from project documentation)
• At least 4-5 years’ work experience in Test Automation
• At least 1-2 years’ work experience in Leading/Managing/Coordinating/Coaching a Team and/or the work of Testing roles (throughout the various testing phases and activities)
• Some demonstrated experience in Coding (proficiency in Programming) in an actual work context
• Experience in testing both Front-end and Back-end systems
• Databases and scripting
• Detailed understanding of the full IT project lifecycle (SDLC) and how the STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) fits into it
• Knowledge of formal software testing practices
• Application of test tools
• Reviewing others’ work and Scripts, and providing feedback

Ideal Requirements:

• Hands on experience with Playwright
• Relevant tech stack (e.g., Selenium; Java;.NET; Python; Cucumber; TestNG; or similar)
• Banking/Financial/Telco IT-related systems exposure
• Non-functional testing experience (Performance; Stress; Reliability; etc.)
• Release management exposure
• Project management experience
• Systems architecture exposure
• Agile methodology exposure
