Capitec Bank Job Opportunity – Risk Specialist Operational Resilience

About the Job
As a Risk Specialist Operational Resilience, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line oversight over all aspects relating to Operational Resilience as required by the Basel Principles for Operational Resilience (POR). Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing a strategy for Operational Resilience
- Creating value-adding risk insights to proactively identify and quantify 3rd party related risks
- Developing a framework for the reporting and monitoring of risk responses (avoid, mitigate, accept, and transfer)
- Proposing creative considerations for mitigating and transferring 3rd party risks at enterprise level
- Monitoring compliance with relevant SARB Directives, Guidance Notes including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s Principles for Operational Resilience, and Principles for the Sound Management of Operational Risk
- Representing Capitec on relevant industry forums and regulatory engagements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A relevant qualification (e.g. degree) in Risk Management & Compliance, Finance, Supply Chain management, Business Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in resilience, supplier and third-party management, procurement, supply chain management, and/or risk management and control function
- Crisis and incident response management experience
- Experience in the design and implementation of related systems and operating models is beneficial
