Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

As a Merchant Support Agent, you’ll be responsible for providing top-notch support to Capitec Bank merchants, including Employer Salary Transfer Facility (ESTF) clients and Merchant Services Field staff, through various communication channels. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound telephone calls and other communication channels
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in real-time
  • Assisting merchants with queries and concerns regarding their accounts and services
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies and procedures

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you should have:

  • A Grade 12 National Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum:

  • Be a school leaver or have basic customer service experience in a business services environment
  • Ideal:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role in a call center environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of systems and software
  • Familiarity with business services banking products

Desirable Skills:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
