Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
As a Merchant Support Agent, you’ll be responsible for providing top-notch support to Capitec Bank merchants, including Employer Salary Transfer Facility (ESTF) clients and Merchant Services Field staff, through various communication channels. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling inbound and outbound telephone calls and other communication channels
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in real-time
- Assisting merchants with queries and concerns regarding their accounts and services
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies and procedures
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Grade 12 National Certificate or equivalent

Minimum:
- Be a school leaver or have basic customer service experience in a business services environment

Ideal:
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role in a call center environment
- Strong technical knowledge of systems and software
- Familiarity with business services banking products
Desirable Skills:
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
