Job Description:
Are you a skilled and passionate individual looking to join a dynamic team in the banking industry? Capitec Bank is seeking a Credit Intelligence Analyst III (West) to join our team in Stellenbosch. As a key player in our credit analysis department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing credit intelligence-related standards, principles, methodologies, and frameworks that guide the delivery of credit solutions and models.
Responsibilities:
- Apply deep subject matter expertise to assume accountability for the design, development, testing, and implementation of credit intelligence-related standards, principles, methodologies, and frameworks that guide the delivery of credit solutions and models.
- Provide oversight on the validation of credit models and ensure a strong scientific relationship exists between different credit models across an allocated portfolio/focus area.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of credit intelligence-related standards, principles, methodologies, and frameworks.
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Honours Degree in Finance or Mathematics
- 7-8 years of experience in retail credit analysis, including programming in SQL/SAS/R/Python, with at least 3 years of portfolio-specific experience
- Experience working with/contributing towards credit principles, policies, frameworks
- Customer Value Management and Rewards experience
- Ideal Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Finance or Mathematics
- Additional 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, with a focus on credit principles, policies, and frameworks
Skills:
- Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, reporting, and researching skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
