Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions primarily on AWS, with some involvement in Azure. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of cloud services and product teams, enhancing your familiarity with diverse technologies and architectural patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, with some involvement in Azure
• Develop and manage SQL queries and Python scripts to support data operations and build dashboards
• Act as an advisor within the team, providing recommendations and support to other departments and stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud management tools
• Strong understanding of AWS services and Azure
• Experience with SQL queries and Python scripting
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
