Job Purpose Statement:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational functioning of the branch efficiently and effectively in accordance with set standards and processes. The key objectives include:
- Executing the Business and People implementation plans in the branch to maintain client service excellence utilizing the Global One product offering
- Building a healthy, high-performance team
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2-3 years of client service experience within a retail/financial services/banking environment
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role within a retail/financial services/banking environment
- Experience coaching and developing team members and overseeing activities of a branch or team
Preferred Experience:
- 4 years of supervisory/first-line management experience
- Experience of building and maintaining key relationships at a management level
- Experience in an operational management role within a retail/financial services/banking environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational
- Minimum: National Certificate in Banking or Similar
- Ideal or Preferred: National Higher Certificate in Banking
- Ideal or Preferred: A relevant tertiary qualification in Similar or Commerce
Knowledge:
- Minimum:
- Leadership and people management principles
- Business performance drivers at this level
- Retail/consumer service environment
- Banking products and services
- Business Processes (Marketing/Financial Management/Human Resource Management)
- Ideal:
- Internal business processes and procedures
- Organisational Policies, including (but not limited to) the Credit Policy
Skills:

- Planning, organizing, and coordination skills
- Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills
- Commercial Thinking Skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
