Job Description
Purpose Statement:
As a Business Account Executive at Capitec, you will be responsible for providing a proactive business banking sales and service management function that will retain and grow a portfolio of business clients by identifying and implementing value-adding and specialized business banking financial products solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to a portfolio of business clients
- Identify and implement value-adding and specialized business banking financial products solutions
- Manage a complex portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus
- Hold responsibility for client relationship management of high-value clients with varied and complex needs
- Prepare and motivate credit applications
- Manage cost control and sales
Requirements:
Minimum:
- 5 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in Business Banking
- Experience in managing a complex portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus
- Ability to hold responsibility for client relationship management of high-value clients with varied and complex needs
- Significant experience in preparing and motivating credit applications
- Cost control and sales management experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance
Ideal:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance
- Experience in preparing and motivating credit applications
- Current taxation laws as they apply to customers
- A good knowledge of administration processes and procedures pertaining to Business Banking transactions
- Financial Modelling; activity-based costing, financial analysis (evaluating and identifying trends), complex cash flow cycles (industry/sector specific)
Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of business economics and the current business economic environment
- Advanced customer relationship management (CRM) principles and techniques
- Different industry sectors and sector risk profiles/trends
- Local market (LM) sales principles and practices
- General banking practices and procedures
- Knowledge of competitor product offerings/channels/operational and marketing tactics
- Credit principles and practices
- Legal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships etc.) in the commercial market and the legislative restrictions and requirements governing these from a financial services perspective
- Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
