Cape Town Tourism is looking for fresh graduates who love travel, enjoy helping people, and want to learn how a big tourism agency works. The job is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, and will give you hands‑on experience with visitor centres, mobile units, and brand‑activation events. You’ll work with both local and overseas guests, give them advice about the city, and help promote Cape Town as a top travel spot.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Greet visitors in a friendly, professional way, whether they’re in person, on the phone, or online.
- Share up‑to‑date facts about attractions, activities, places to stay, and events in Cape Town.
- Encourage safe and responsible tourism by giving safety tips and eco‑friendly advice.
- Turn visitor questions into bookings or other tourism opportunities.
- Help sell merchandise, keep stock tidy, and set up product displays.
- Write short, clear daily notes about each visitor interaction.
- Represent Cape Town Tourism at festivals, pop‑up stalls, and other mobile events.
- Keep track of the latest tourism trends and new things to do in the city.
- Follow the brand’s customer‑service standards to give every guest a great experience.
- Suggest ideas to improve how we engage with visitors and make their trips smoother.
- Work closely with the Visitor Experience team and assist with everyday tasks in the visitor centres.
- Make sure every visitor feels welcome and leaves with useful information.
