What You’ll Do Every Day
- Greet every customer with a smile and offer help as they browse the store.
- Listen to what shoppers need and suggest rings, necklaces, watches or other accessories that match their style.
- Show off new arrivals and special promotions to drive sales and reach the store’s goals.
- Spot chances to suggest extra items (upselling) or combine products that go well together (cross‑selling).
- Keep the shelves stocked, tidy and arranged so the displays look attractive.
- Follow the store’s visual‑merchandising rules – make sure everything is presented the way the brand wants.
- Check that prices are correct and tags are up‑to‑date.
- Record your own sales numbers and help the whole team meet its targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop floor, from the fitting rooms to the checkout area.
- Stick to all store policies, especially those about cash handling and customer service.
- Pitch in with other tasks when the manager asks, such as inventory counts or window dressing.
Who We’re Looking For
- You have finished Grade 12 (Matric).
- You can talk clearly and listen well, making customers feel heard.
- You feel comfortable selling and handling questions or concerns from shoppers.
- You like working toward clear goals and can stay motivated when targets are set.
- You’re okay with flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- You notice the little details – product placement, correct pricing, clean shelves.
- You can juggle several things at once in a fast‑moving environment.
- You bring a positive attitude, are eager to learn the store’s systems, and enjoy teamwork.
- Previous retail experience helps, but it’s not a must if you’re willing to learn.
