adidas Invites suitable applicants to apply for its Permanent Part‑Timer position at the Retail Crossing store in Gauteng. The closing date for applications is 30 September 2026.
Who We are looking for
The adidas Retail Crossing store needs a lively, customer‑focused person who likes sportswear, fashion and the buzz of a busy shop. If you enjoy helping people, can move around a store, and want to learn more about shoes, clothing and gear, this job could be a great start for you.
You will work part‑time on a permanent basis, helping the team with sales, stock, displays and everyday store tasks. The role gives you a chance to pick up real retail experience, grow your product knowledge and sharpen your people skills.
What You Will Do
| Main duties | What it looks like in the shop |
|---|---|
| Greet every shopper with a friendly smile | Say hello, ask how you can help, and make them feel welcome |
| Process sales using cash, cards or other approved methods | Scan items, handle payments, and give receipts correctly |
| Tag new products and check delivery paperwork | Put price stickers on items and match them with the delivery note |
| Move stock from the back room to the shop floor | Carry boxes, restock shelves and keep the floor tidy |
| Build and keep up displays that follow adidas guidelines | Arrange shoes, shirts and accessories so they look attractive |
| Use the point‑of‑sale (POS) system confidently | Ring up sales, handle returns and follow store policies |
| Use selling tricks like add‑on sales | Suggest a sock or a cap that matches the customer’s purchase |
| Explain product features and tech details | Tell shoppers why a shoe has extra grip or why a shirt breathes |
| Act as a greeter during busy times | Stand at the entrance, welcome customers, and direct them inside |
| Keep the store clean and orderly | Sweep, dust and make sure everything looks neat |
| Protect store assets and follow security rules | Watch for suspicious activity and follow loss‑prevention steps |
| Join training programmes (Atticus, AREA, Power BI) | Learn more about products, sales data and how the store performs |
| Help teammates with any extra tasks the manager assigns | Pitch in whenever the store needs an extra hand |
