The Website Photographer takes pictures of Ackermans products so they look great on the website, social media, store manuals and the Support Centre displays. The work follows a set schedule and has to be finished on time.
Main duties
Taking product photos for the website
- Snap all product photos for the next two months during the first two weeks of each month.
- Check the images on the staging site to make sure every product is shown correctly.
- Collect product samples from the SBU Coordinators, clean them (remove tags, steam, etc.) and get them ready for shooting.
- Help the Digital Photographer set up the studio, break it down after the shoot and handle the samples.
Helping with social‑media pictures
- Pitch in with quick photo jobs for Instagram, Facebook and other platforms when needed.
Supporting PR and new‑store openings
- Take pictures that the PR team and the New Store Opening (NSO) team can use for flyers, ads and press releases.
Visual merchandise work
- Every month, photograph window displays, mannequins and any “Botox” (special) setups so the store promo manuals are ready.
- Update the product displays in the Ackermans Support Centre two times a month.
“Deal of the Week” photos
- Work with SBU Coordinators to get the weekly deal images ready.
- Save the images in the correct format and size.
- Remove the pictures once the deal ends.
Keeping the process smooth
- Talk with the different SBUs and external agencies (like 99c) to make sure every picture is delivered on schedule and meets the brief.
What you need to have

- 1‑2 years of website photography experience in a digital setting.
- Good grasp of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic skills in Photoshop and a clear understanding of photography terms.
