About the Job

Human Accent is looking for a reliable Administrator to join a busy container‑conversion company in Macassar, Cape Town. The company turns large shipping containers into offices, homes, shops and other useful spaces. This is a full‑time, permanent role that works closely with the finance, sales and operations teams.

The ideal candidate is someone who pays close attention to numbers, enjoys helping people, and can keep paperwork organized. If you like working with computers, solving small problems, and talking to customers, this could be a great fit.

What You Will Do

  • Keep debtor records up to date – make sure every customer who owes money is recorded correctly.
  • Create and send invoices – turn work orders into bills, handle credit notes, and match payments to the right accounts.
  • Help with credit control – answer questions about bills and fix any mistakes quickly.
  • Talk to clients – let customers know the status of their accounts and explain payment terms in plain language.
  • Support the sales team – track leads, file contracts, and keep sales documents organized.
  • Run the office day‑to‑day – file paperwork, answer phone calls, and keep the office tidy.
  • Prepare weekly reports – gather data from sales and operations and share it with managers.
  • Work with the head‑office finance crew – send them the information they need for larger accounting tasks.
  • Help with stock and finance reports – make sure inventory numbers match the financial records.
  • Assist managers – set up meetings, book rooms, and handle other admin tasks as needed.
  • Keep invoice records safe – store copies of invoices, receipts and credit notes so they’re easy to find.
  • Solve credit issues – find out why a payment didn’t go through and fix it.

What You Need

  • Grade 12 or Senior Certificate – the basic schooling requirement.
  • Valid driver’s licence – you may need to travel between sites.
  • Good computer skills – know how to use Word, Excel and basic bookkeeping software.
  • Strong English – both speaking and writing, because you’ll email customers and write reports.
  • Eye for detail – numbers must be correct; a small mistake can cause big problems.
  • Basic accounting know‑how – helpful but not mandatory; on‑the‑job training is offered.
  • Experience in logistics or manufacturing – a plus, but not required.
  • Organised and able to multitask – you’ll juggle several duties at once.
  • Team player – you’ll work with many departments, so getting along is important.
  • Professional attitude – always treat clients with respect and honesty.

Personal Qualities That Shine

  • Good at solving little problems before they become big ones.
  • Eager to learn more about container conversion products.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Trustworthy and takes responsibility for own work.
  • Friendly and clear when talking to customers.

Where You’ll Work

The office is inside a manufacturing site where containers are turned into new products. You’ll see the production floor, meet people from shipping, sales, finance and customers who visit the site. The environment is fast‑paced, so staying organised helps everything run smoothly.

Why This Role Is Important

The Administrator keeps the company’s money flow healthy by making sure invoices are sent out on time and payments are recorded correctly. Accurate records help the business plan, keep customers happy, and support the whole team in delivering projects on schedule.
