Miss South Africa 2026 Invites qualified candidates to apply for the Miss South Africa 2026 title. The deadline for applications is 17 May 2026.

If you think you have the confidence, charm, and drive to represent South Africa, this is your chance. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about who can apply, what the rules are, and how to send in your entry.

Who Can Apply?

Requirement What It Means for You
Age You must be at least 20 years old but not older than 32 on 30 September 2026. You can turn 32 during your year as Miss SA.
South African citizenship You need a valid South African ID – either the old green bar‑coded booklet or the new smart ID card. Upload clear front‑and‑back photos of the card. If you don’t have an ID, you must also give a birth certificate or any other Home Affairs document that proves you’re a citizen. Have dual citizenship? Tell us about all the passports you hold.
Driver’s licence A current South African driver’s licence is required.
Pageant history You cannot have been a finalist in the previous Miss South Africa competition, nor a runner‑up in the last two years. If you have already won the crown in any year, you are not eligible.
Criminal record You must have a clean record and be honest about everything that happens before, during, and after the competition.
Marital or parental status Being married, single, a parent, or child‑free does not matter – all are welcome.
Tattoos & piercings There are no limits on tattoos or piercings.
Behaviour You must not have taken part in any actions that could bring the competition into disrepute, such as racism, bribery, sexism, bullying or defamation. The organisers will decide if any past behaviour is a problem.
Handbook & rules If you move to the next round, you’ll receive a contestant handbook. You have to read it, understand it, and follow every rule inside.
Truthful information Giving false details (fake ID, wrong citizenship, fake school results, hidden criminal history, undisclosed contracts, etc.) will lead to immediate disqualification.
TV series participation All contestants will appear on the reality series “The Journey to Miss South Africa.” Your scenes may be filmed, posted online, and shared with media partners, following all broadcast and copyright laws.
Sponsor & event commitments Once you’re in the next stage, you might need to attend sponsor events, workshops, or other activities. You can’t sign any other contracts that clash with the pageant schedule.
Family conflicts Close relatives of anyone who works for the Miss South Africa organisation, its sponsors, production companies, broadcasters, advertising agencies, auditors, or suppliers cannot apply.
Confidentiality Contestants who advance must sign a non‑disclosure agreement. All official emails and messages from the organisation must stay private. Breaking this rule means you’re out of the competition.
Final right to disqualify The Miss South Africa organisation reserves the right to remove any applicant who, in its view, does not meet the above criteria.
