This role is essential for capturing and consolidating critical health data for TB HIV Care’s M&E department. You’ll ensure accurate and timely data reporting that drives the effectiveness of health programs.

💪 Key Responsibilities

As a Data Capturer, you’ll support the M&E Specialist and play a vital role in data management. Your responsibilities will include:

📊 Data Capturing & Consolidation

Ensure that all weekly, monthly, and quarterly data is received, captured, and consolidated.
Update databases and format data according to organizational requirements.
Notify relevant staff if data submissions are late and maintain a submission register.

📂 Reporting & Communication

Support M&E specialists with data reporting.
Work with project management, Department of Health (DoH) staff, and team members to capture relevant patient-related information.

🗂️ Admin Support

File and manage data submission records.
Maintain a list of key data contacts at each facility.

You’ll need the following qualifications, experience, and skills to apply for this role:

🎓 Education

✅ Matric/Grade 12 (essential)
🎓 Tertiary qualification (advantageous)

📈 Experience

✅ 2+ years’ experience in DoH data/M&E systems (from patient-record level to DHIS level)
✅ Experience with TIER.Net software (trained or experienced)
✅ Experience with data capturing or collection within the public health sector (advantageous)
✅ Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and health systems

💻 Technical Skills

✅ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
✅ Ability to format and structure data according to requirements

🗣️ Languages

English proficiency (essential)
isiXhosa (advantageous)

✅ Other Requirements

Criminal record clearance required
