POST 1: BioBee – IPM & Biological Technical Field Support / Representative
BioBee Integrated Crop Solutions is a leading South African company producing and marketing beneficial insects and mites and naturally derived products for integrated pest and disease control.
BioBee, situated in Letsitele Limpopo, is looking to extend its marketing and field services support team areas in South Africa.
We have a vacancy available for a Marketing & Field Services Representative who will be responsible for all aspects of product marketing, sales, maintaining client relations and development of agricultural technology. – situated in Johannesburg/Pretoria.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To increase sales of the company products – Natural enemies and naturally derived products for integrated pest and disease control (traps, pheromones etc.) throughout South Africa.
- To establish a company marketing and sales system across regions in order to achieve the above-mentioned objectives.
- To establish a professional / technical system to provide field services and technical support to the company’s clients and dealing with new technology.
- Organizing the needed marketing and sales system across the regions to achieve the above mentioned.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Ambitious, self-motivated, result driven and independent.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa.
- Willingness to relocate according to Company requirements.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (writing and speaking).
- Experience with utilizing internet as sales and marketing promotion tool.
- Proficiency in Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferably BSc Hons in Crop Pest Management specializing in Integrated Pest Management or a BSc Degree in Plant Protection specializing in Integrated Pest Management.
- Practical experience in a Marketing and Field services in Agriculture, will be advantageous.
- Candidates who have an agricultural background will be given preference.
POST 2: Assistant Nursery Manager
We have a vacancy available in Mooketsi Limpopo for an Assistant Nursery Manager.
The successful candidate will play a supportive and logistical role in the effective management of our Subtropical Nursery unit.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist the manager in establishing, improving and expanding the various processes to make the identified plant material available to clients at high quality and timeously.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The preparation of plant medium and material
- Monitor and apply plant nutrition programs
- Management of pest control programs and irrigation cycles
- Compilation of weed control programs
- Determine and control product flow of outgoing and incoming materials
- Completion of administrative tasks in the greenhouse
- Plan delivery schedules and distribution of products ready for transplanting
- Managing work teams and monitoring productivity indices
- General reporting on progress with tasks and execution of projects
- Do aftercare evaluation and quality monitoring of material that has been transplanted
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel is a prerequisite
- Working in a cultural sensitive manner is required
- Candidates with tertiary qualifications and/ or targeted training in horticulture or botany will enjoy preference
- Previous experience in a similar environment would be beneficial
- The person must be able to function calmly under pressure
POST 3: Human Resources Practitioner
A vacancy exists at ZZ2 Loch Lynne, located in the Koue Bokkeveld area for a Human Resources Practitioner with the primary focus the support of the organisation with all relevant HR matters inclusive of salary and wage administration , within the framework of ZZ2’s value system and ethical codes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and strengthening the ZZ2 value system by creating a positive climate during task execution.
- Professional support to Functional Management with human resource and administrative matters.
- Ensure the consistent application of personnel policies and conditions of employment.
- Checking, follow-up and processing of wages, personnel records and statistics.
- Focus on dealing with employment, disciplinary processes and personnel administration.
- Planning, preparation and execution of accreditations such as SIZA, BRC, GLOBAL GAP and other systems.
- Handling Department of Labor inspections and liaison with relevant Government entities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A degree or post-school qualification with 5 – 8 years relevant experience in the Human Resources function.
- Knowledge of Human Resource systems as well as accreditation requirements.( SIZA, Global Gap)
- The incumbent will also be involved with general administration and payroll functions at an operational level.
- The use of VIP Sage or any other payroll system will serve as a recommendation.
- Knowledge of applicable personnel policies, procedures and labor legislation.
- Candidates with strong accounting ability and numerical skills will be preferred.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Google G-Suite are essential.
- The position will report to the Executive Manager of Loch Lynne.
