TWK Agri, based in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga, is looking for fresh 2024/2025 graduates who are eager to learn and grow. This graduate trainee role sits inside the Enterprise Development (ED) department and gives you a chance to work in the insurance side of agriculture while supporting new farmers and community projects.
What the job is about
You will join the ED team in Piet Retief, where you’ll help the company’s efforts to lift up emerging farmers, run small‑business programmes, and support community‑based initiatives. The position mixes office work with real‑world projects, so you’ll pick up skills in reporting, finance, and everyday business tasks. Structured training and a mentor will guide you through the Graduate Placement Programme.
Main duties
- Help organise and run Enterprise Development projects that aid new farmers.
- Assist with the planning and paperwork for community‑development programmes.
- Talk with farmers, community leaders, and other internal teams to keep everyone informed.
- Keep accurate records of beneficiaries, projects, and programme activities.
- Deal with basic finance tasks such as tracking expenses and supporting budget checks.
- Prepare simple reports, summaries, and supporting documents.
- Follow up on monitoring, reporting, and compliance rules for development projects.
- Support research, data analysis, and the creation of presentations.
- Provide general admin help to the Enterprise Development team.
- Take part in the training, mentorship, and assessment activities built into the graduate programme.
What you need
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- A university degree earned in 2024 or 2025 in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, Development Studies, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Attention to detail, a professional attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong written and spoken communication abilities.
- Ability to think analytically and solve problems.
- A valid driver’s licence (nice to have but not essential).
