Your Responsibilities as a Store Leader
As a Store Manager, you will:
1. Stock Management
- Ensure stock is received, unpacked, and displayed accurately to keep shelves replenished.
- Monitor stock levels using inventory processes, including stock counts and loss prevention measures.
- Oversee stockroom organization to maintain housekeeping standards.
- Manage write-offs, recalls, and product returns efficiently.
2. Driving Sales Growth
- Analyze sales reports to develop strategies for exceeding sales targets.
- Monitor product performance and collaborate with support teams to optimize stock and sales.
- Identify innovative ways to grow sales, such as local partnerships, in-store marketing, and promoting memberships.
3. Risk & Compliance Management
- Conduct regular compliance and safety checks, including admin audits and visual store inspections.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
4. Customer Experience
- Implement customer service strategies, including promotions, markdowns, and visual standards.
- Drive initiatives to exceed customer expectations and ensure a welcoming store environment.
5. Leadership & Development
- Lead and motivate your team to achieve KPIs while embodying company values.
- Identify and address training needs, focusing on growth and talent development.
- Manage recruitment, performance, and succession planning according to company policies.
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals with:
- Education: A Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience: 3+ years in store or assistant store management in a similar retail environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, communication, budgeting, and service management.
- Language: Fluency in English and basic understanding of Afrikaans.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with retail trade, customer experience, and brand management.
