Responsibilities and Duties
As a Call Centre Agent at SASSA, you will be responsible for:
- Call Handling: Receiving and placing calls to assist clients.
- Registration and Escalation: Capturing and escalating customer inquiries on the Customer Care Application system.
- Investigation and Feedback: Investigating queries and providing feedback to clients.
- Information Updates: Updating information on the Integrated Customer Care Application.
- Monitoring Requests: Tracking and following up on requests with back-office teams and responsible managers.
- Email Inquiries: Responding to email inquiries.
- Customer Education: Providing guidance to customers and directing calls to the appropriate officials to ensure efficient service.

Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential.
- Experience: 0 – 1 year of experience in a call centre or customer service role.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Knowledge of SASSA processes, policies, and procedures (e.g., SOCPEN, Social Assistance Act, and SASSA Act).
