Road Traffic Infringement Agency Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its Call Centre Agent vacancies. The closing date for applications is 3 August 2026.


What you need to have learned in school

  • A school certificate (Matric) or any qualification that is considered equal.
  • Good grasp of English and basic math.

What experience will help you succeed

  • At least 1 year of work in a call‑centre, customer‑service desk, or any admin role.
  • Experience handling data entry, filing paperwork, or answering phone calls for a business.
  • Having worked as a call‑centre agent before is a big plus.

Skills the agency is looking for

  • Ability to use a computer – typing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Friendly attitude and clear speaking skills.
  • Knowing a little about the AARTO Act (the law that deals with traffic fines) will give you an edge.

What the job will involve

AARTO Call‑Centre – Agency matters

  1. Answer phone calls, read emails and faxes, then forward the questions to the right department.
  2. Tell callers where their case stands – whether it’s about payment plans, appeals, or cancelling a fine.
  3. Explain the steps of the AARTO process and tell callers which forms they need to fill out.

AARTO Call‑Centre – Issuing Authority matters

  1. Update callers on the status of court hearings or driver‑nomination requests.
  2. Handle special requests for AARTO elective options.
  3. Print every fax that comes in through the agency’s fax‑to‑email system.
  4. Record all applications for instalments, appeals, and cancellation orders, then pass the paperwork to the correct department.

Important notice
