OMODA South Africa is searching for an energetic Events & Sponsorships Coordinator to join its marketing team. What You’ll Do
Plan and Run Events
- Create, schedule and run brand events, product launches, dealer meetings, and internal gatherings.
- Write simple event briefs, set timelines, and keep track of budgets.
- Find and negotiate with venues, suppliers, and service providers.
- Make sure every detail follows OMODA’s brand style and gives attendees a top‑notch experience.
- Collect feedback, measure attendance and calculate the return on investment (ROI) for each event.
Manage Sponsorships
- Activate sponsorship agreements so the brand gets maximum exposure.
- Build strong relationships with sponsors, media partners and other collaborators.
- Deliver sponsorship activities that spark conversation, raise brand awareness and create a positive image.
- Review the results of each sponsorship against set goals.
Work with Influencers
- Spot and recruit influencers or brand ambassadors who match OMODA’s image and target market.
- Give clear briefs on campaign goals, key messages and creative guidelines.
- Coordinate influencer participation in events, sponsorship activations and online campaigns.
- Track influencer performance using engagement, reach and sentiment data.
- Manage influencer budgets and deliverables while nurturing long‑term, authentic partnerships.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Team up with Brand, Marketing, Dealer, PR and Social Media groups to keep all activities aligned with the overall marketing plan.
- Provide toolkits and support to dealers and partners for local activations.
- Handle internal approvals, budget checks and reporting.
Administration & Reporting
- Keep budgets, invoices and contracts organized.
- Produce post‑event reports that include insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain a master list of upcoming events, sponsorships and influencer campaigns.
What You Need
- Strong project‑management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, plus negotiation skills.
- Ability to juggle several tasks at once and stay calm under pressure.
- Creative thinking with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
- Skill in building and keeping relationships with influencers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset to measure ROI, influencer impact and event success.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, social‑media platforms and event‑management tools.
Education & Experience
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Events Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 2 – 4 years of hands‑on experience in events, sponsorships, influencer marketing or campaign coordination.
- Proven record of running successful events, sponsorships and influencer programs.
- Experience in the automotive or fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when needed.
Who You’ll Report To
- Reports to: Brand Manager.
- Works closely with: Marketing Assistants, Dealer Marketing Managers, Social Media Lead, PR, Customer Experience teams and the National Brand & Marketing Manager.
