Icebolethu Group is looking for a permanent Social Media Coordinator to work in the Marketing & Communications Department at the Johannesburg office. In this role you will run the company’s social media pages, make the brand more visible, and help attract new customers. You will focus on the non‑core parts of the business – Catering, UK, Foundation, i‑Mobile, and Memorials – and create content that speaks to the community.


What You Need to Have

Education

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.

Experience

  • 2 – 4 years of hands‑on social media management.
  • Ability to handle several brand pages at the same time (big plus).
  • Good grasp of how social platforms work, posting times, and algorithms.
  • Experience planning and running organic social campaigns that generate leads and boost brand awareness.
  • Know‑how of community management, handling customer questions, and keeping the brand voice consistent.

Skills

  • Comfortable using design tools such as Canva or Adobe.
  • Basic video‑editing skills.
  • Ability to read and act on social media analytics.
  • Strong storytelling and content‑creation talent.
  • Excellent multitasking, planning, and organisation.
  • High attention to detail, customer‑focused, and adaptable to change.

What You Will Do Every Day

  • Plan Content: Build a monthly calendar of posts that matches the company’s bigger marketing plans.
  • Create Posts: Design eye‑catching graphics, short videos, and write clear, engaging copy.
  • Boost Visibility: Grow the online presence of Catering, UK, Foundation, i‑Mobile, and Memorials, turning followers into leads.
  • Work with Teams: Gather material from regional branches, check that everything follows national brand rules, and keep the flow of content smooth.
  • Community Care: Reply to comments, messages, and questions in a friendly, professional tone.
  • Escalate Issues: Pass on any serious customer problems to the appropriate internal team quickly.
  • Support Campaigns: Help with marketing pushes, promotions, PR events, live activities, and brand‑ambassador projects.
  • Measure Success: Track key metrics on each platform, produce monthly performance reports for every business unit, and tweak future posts based on the data.
