Job Description:
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen staff in meal preparation and to maintain cleanliness within the kitchen. This role is vital in ensuring efficient operations and delivering quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs and cooks with the preparation of meals, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seasoning ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies and equipment.
- Help with inventory management and storage of food supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist in setting up and clearing the dining area as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods during peak times and for eventing.
