What you’ll be doing every day

  • Greet every guest with a smile and a friendly attitude.

  • Keep the sales numbers up by meeting or beating your personal targets.
  • Stay updated on the newest furniture styles, tech gadgets, and design trends.
  • Spot chances to bring new customers into the store and turn them into regulars.
  • Keep the shop tidy, stocked, and looking attractive – from arranging displays to refilling shelves.
  • Help set up eye‑catching visual displays that make the store inviting.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when the business needs you.
  • Work with the manager and teammates to reach overall sales, profit, and turnover goals.
  • Handle basic paperwork, stock counts, and risk‑management tasks as required.

What we need from you

  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
  • Genuine love for helping people and a passion for home‑style products.
  • A goal‑driven mindset that focuses on meeting sales targets.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Ability to stay calm and productive under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers.
  • Basic comfort with numbers, stock checks, and simple admin work.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to follow store procedures.
  • Leadership or management experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Why this role could be a great fit for you

The Furniture Consultant role blends customer service with sales, giving you the chance to earn while you learn. You’ll develop:

  • Product knowledge – become an expert on the latest furniture, décor, and tech accessories.
  • Sales skills – learn how to match customer needs with the right items and close deals.
  • Visual merchandising – practice creating attractive store displays that draw shoppers in.
  • Retail operations – get hands‑on experience with stock management, risk control, and daily admin tasks.

If you enjoy a fast‑paced environment, love meeting new people, and want to grow a career in the furniture‑retail world, this position offers a solid foundation. The store’s location in Sandton gives you exposure to a busy, high‑traffic market, helping you sharpen both selling and service abilities.
