The Control Room Key Controller works in the underground mine at Modder East, Springs, Gauteng. It is a full‑time, permanent role in the logistics and mining‑support team. Daily duties
- Hand out and collect keys exactly as the written procedures say.
- Keep an up‑to‑date key register and logbook.
- Record every key movement the moment it happens.
- Check that the right permission is given before any key leaves the room.
- Report lost, broken or missing keys straight away.
- Do regular checks and count‑ups of all keys.
- Store keys in the locked cabinet at all times.
- Help out with other control‑room tasks when asked.
