GAME is looking for a Store Manager to lead our team in Jubilee Mall Pretoria. The goal is to boost sales and make sure every customer has a great shopping experience. You’ll be in charge of running the store smoothly and keeping the team motivated.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience:
- Ensure every customer is greeted and helped promptly and politely.
- Handle customer questions and complaints quickly and effectively.
- Make sure all staff follow company rules for customer service.
- Develop and implement plans to improve customer experience.
- Ensure staff are properly trained and knowledgeable about our products.
- Build strong relationships with customers and fulfill their needs.
Sales:
- Analyze market trends and create strategies to boost sales.
- Use sales reports to develop action plans for improving store performance.
- Support, coach, and motivate the team to exceed sales targets.
Expenses:
- Plan and monitor market opportunities to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Control expenses to prevent overspending (e.g., scheduling, overtime, utilities).
- Manage in-store markdown processes and auction costs.
Stock Loss:
- Follow all security and risk measures to prevent stock loss.
- Ensure stock take procedures are followed and monitor their implementation.
- Maintain strict security control to minimize shrinkage and damage.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure stock levels match sales performance and merchandising plans.
- Analyze merchandise movement and manage slow/fast sellers.
- Maintain core stock and promotional lines according to company standards.
Merchandise:
- Implement and maintain space planning and visual displays as per company standards.
- Ensure stock is correctly labeled and displayed.
- Update signage and displays to promote new products and seasonal themes.
Leadership:
- Continuously develop team skills and capabilities.
- Provide regular training to achieve store standards.
- Conduct one-on-one conversations and performance improvement processes.
- Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Facilitate team collaboration and act in line with company values.
General:
- Maintain compliance with business requirements (e.g., OHASA, stock loss).
- Ensure overall maintenance and housekeeping standards are met.
- Acknowledge and act on store operations communication.
- Perform duties as needed to support the team and store operations.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification is a plus.
- Several years of retail experience in a senior management role.
