The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) Invites Suitable Applicants to Apply for Its Internship Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 20 August 2026.
What the Internship Is All About
CIPC is part of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC). It wants to help young South Africans gain real‑world work experience while they finish their studies. The internship lasts 24 months and will be based in the Sunnyside office in Pretoria.
Who Can Apply
- Education – You must have a National Diploma or a Degree in Law, Public Administration, or Business Management.
- Employment status – You must be unemployed and have not yet worked in a job related to your field of study.
- Previous internships – You must not have taken part in any other internship programme.
- Age – Applicants must be 18 to 35 years old.
What You Will Earn
- A stipend of R12 000 per month is paid throughout the 24‑month programme.

- An up‑to‑date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- A clear copy of your South African ID
- Your academic transcript (showing the subjects and grades)
- Proof of your qualification (degree or diploma)

How the Selection Works
- CIPC will check that you are a South African citizen and that your qualifications are valid.
- If you earned a qualification outside South Africa, you must have it evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
