Job Purpose:

As a Service Consultant at Capitec Bank, your main goal is to enhance the lives of our clients by providing outstanding customer service. You’ll be responsible for understanding and meeting the needs of our clients, using our Global One product offering to help them "Bank Better and Live Better".

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum: 3-6 months of client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment (or a relevant tertiary qualification).
  • Ideal: More than 1 year of client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment, with a proven track record of engaging in sales and client-facing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational qualification.
  • Ideal: A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or a similar field, or certification in Finance or Banking.

Knowledge:

  • Minimum: Basic knowledge of calculations, retail/consumer service environments, and banking products.
  • Ideal: Knowledge of Capitec Bank products, internal business processes and procedures, and organizational policies, including the Branch Credit Granting Policy principles (BCGP).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Clear criminal and credit record.
  • Must have fingerprints that are detectable/recognizable on Capitec Bank’s internal electronic banking system.
